بَابُ: الْحَثِّ عَلَى النِّكَاحِ
Chapter: Encouragement To Marry
Hadith Number: 3208
اخبرنا عمرو بن زرارة، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل، قال: حدثنا يونس، عن ابي معشر، عن إبراهيم، عن علقمة، قال: كنت مع ابن مسعود وهو عند عثمان رضي الله عنه، فقال عثمان: خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على فتية، قال ابو عبد الرحمن: فلم افهم فتية كما اردت فقال:" من كان منكم ذا طول، فليتزوج، فإنه اغض للبصر، واحصن للفرج، ومن لا، فالصوم له وجاء".
Narrated 'Alqamah: It was narrated that 'Alqamah said: "I was with Ibn Mas'ud while he was with 'Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, and 'Uthman said: 'The Messenger of Allah came out to some fityah (young men)--Abu 'AbdurRahman said, 'I did not understand (the word) fityah as I would want'-- and said: 'Whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity, and whoever cannot, then fasting will be a restraint (wija') for him.'"

Hadith Number: 3209
اخبرنا بشر بن خالد، قال: حدثنا محمد بن جعفر، عن شعبة، عن سليمان، عن إبراهيم، عن علقمة، ان عثمان قال لابن مسعود: هل لك في فتاة ازوجكها؟ فدعا عبد الله علقمة فحدث , ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" من استطاع الباءة فليتزوج، فإنه اغض للبصر، واحصن للفرج، ومن لم يستطع، فليصم فإنه له وجاء".
Narrated 'Alqamah: It was narrated from 'Alqamah, that 'Uthman said to Ibn Mas'ud: "Shall I arrange for you to marry a young girl?" 'Abdullah called 'Alqamah and he told the people that the Prophet said: "Whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity. And whoever cannot afford it, then let him fast, for it will be a restraint for him."

قال الشيخ زبير على زئي: حسن
Hadith Number: 3210
اخبرني هارون بن إسحاق الهمداني الكوفي، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن محمد المحاربي، عن الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن علقمة , والاسود , عن عبد الله، قال: قال لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" من استطاع منكم الباءة فليتزوج، ومن لم يستطع فعليه بالصوم، فإنه له وجاء" , قال ابو عبد الرحمن: الاسود في هذا الحديث ليس بمحفوظ.
Narrated 'Alqamah: It was narrated from 'Alqamah and Al-Aswad that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'Whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, and whoever cannot then he should fast, for it will be a restraint (wija') for him.'" Abu Abdur-Rahman said: (The mention of) Al-Aswad in this hadith is not preserved.

اخبرنا محمد بن منصور، قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن الاعمش، عن عمارة بن عمير، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد، عن عبد الله، قال: قال لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا معشر الشباب:" من استطاع منكم الباءة فلينكح، فإنه اغض للبصر، واحصن للفرج، ومن لا فليصم، فإن الصوم له وجاء" ,
Narrated 'Abdullah: It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and guarding chastity, and whoever cannot then he should fast, for it will be a restraint (wija') for him.'"

قال الشيخ زبير على زئي: حسن
Hadith Number: 3212
اخبرنا محمد بن العلاء، قال: حدثنا ابو معاوية، عن الاعمش، عن عمارة، عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد، عن عبد الله، قال: قال لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا معشر الشباب:" من استطاع منكم الباءة، فليتزوج" , وساق الحديث.
Narrated 'Abdullah: It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to us: 'O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married,'" and he quoted the same hadith.

Hadith Number: 3213
اخبرنا احمد بن حرب، قال: حدثنا ابو معاوية، عن الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، عن علقمة، قال: كنت امشي مع عبد الله بمنى فلقيه عثمان، فقام معه يحدثه، فقال: يا ابا عبد الرحمن الا ازوجك جارية شابة فلعلها ان تذكرك بعض ما مضى منك، فقال عبد الله: اما لئن قلت ذاك لقد قال لنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: يا معشر الشباب:" من استطاع منكم الباءة، فليتزوج".
Narrated 'Alqamah: It was narrated that 'Alqamah said: "I was walking with 'Abdullah in Mina and he was met by 'Uthman who stood with him and spoke with him. He said: 'O Abu Abdur-Rahman! Shall I not marry you to a young girl? Perhaps she will remind you of when you were younger?' 'Abdullah said: 'As you say that (it reminds me that) the Messenger of Allah said to us: O young men, whoever among you can afford it, let him get married.'"
