‘Abdul Majeed bin Wahb says that ‘Ada bin Khalid bin Huwdhah said to me:“Shall I not read to you a document which the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) wrote for me?”I said:“Why not, please do.”Then he took out a document, (in which it was written):“This is a sale contract for something which ‘Ada bin Khalid bin Huwdhah bought from Muhammad ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ).”He bought from you a slave or a slave-girl on the condition that there is no disease in it, nor is it a runaway, nor is it unlawful property. This is a sale of a Muslim from a Muslim 1.” Imam Tirmidhi says:
This hadith is Hasan Ghareeb. We know it only from the narration of ‘Abbad bin Laith. Several people among the hadith scholars have narrated this hadith from him.
