One should respond to the adhan
Hadith Number: 77
77- مالك عن ابن شهاب عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي عن ابى سعيد الخدري ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”إذا سمعتم النداء فقولوا مثل ما يقول المؤذن.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you hear the (call to) adhan, then say as the mu'adhdhin says."
