Hadith Number: 293
38- وبه: عن عائشة انها قالت: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فى حجة الوداع فاهللنا بعمرة، ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”من كان معه هدي فليهلل بالحج مع العمرة ثم لا يحل حتى يحل منهما جميعا.“ قالت: فقدمت مكة وانا حائض فلم اطف بالبيت ولا بين الصفا والمروة. فشكوت ذلك لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ”انقضي راسك وامشطي واهلي بالحج ودعي العمرة.“ قالت: ففعلت. فلما قضينا الحج ارسلني رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مع عبد الرحمن بن ابى بكر إلى التنعيم فاعتمرت. ثم قال: ”هذه مكان عمرتك“، قالت: فطاف الذين اهلوا بالعمرة بالبيت وبين الصفا والمروة ثم حلوا ثم طافوا طوافا آخر بعد ان رجعوا من منى لحجهم. واما الذين اهلوا بالحج او جمعوا الحج والعمرة فإنما طافوا طوافا واحدا.
And with this same chain of narration, it is reported that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: We set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for the Farewell Pilgrimage. We proclaimed the Talbiyah for ‘Umrah, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Whoever has sacrificial animals with him should proclaim the Talbiyah for Hajj along with ‘Umrah, then he should not exit the state of Ihram until he has completed both (Hajj and ‘Umrah).”Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I arrived in Makkah while I was menstruating, so I did not perform the Tawaf of the House nor the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. Then I complained about this to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he said:“Undo your hair and comb it, and enter into Ihram for Hajj, and leave the (acts of) ‘Umrah.”She said: So I did as he instructed. When we had completed Hajj, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me with (my brother) ‘Abdur-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) to Tan‘im, so I performed ‘Umrah, then he said: This is in place of your ‘Umrah. She said: Those who had proclaimed the Talbiyah for ‘Umrah performed the Tawaf of the House and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, then they exited Ihram, then after returning from Mina, they performed the Tawaf for Hajj. Those who had proclaimed the Talbiyah for Hajj (Ifrad) or for Hajj and ‘Umrah (Qiran), they performed only one Tawaf (between Safa and Marwah).

Hadith Number: 294
67- مالك عن ابن شهاب عن محمد بن عبد الله بن الحارث بن نوفل بن عبد المطلب، انه حدثه انه سمع سعد بن ابى وقاص والضحاك بن قيس عام حج معاوية بن ابى سفيان وهما يذكران التمتع بالعمرة إلى الحج، فقال الضحاك: لا يصنع ذلك إلا من جهل امر الله تعالى. فقال سعد: بئس ما قلت يا ابن اخي، قال الضحاك: إن عمر بن الخطاب قد نهى عن ذلك. فقال: قد صنعها رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وصنعناها معه.
It is narrated from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin al-Harith bin Nawfal bin Abd al-Muttalib, may Allah have mercy on him, that in the year when Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan, may Allah be pleased with him, performed Hajj, he heard Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas, may Allah be pleased with him, and Dahhak bin Qays, may Allah be pleased with him, mentioning Hajj Tamattu’. Dahhak bin Qays, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Only the one who is ignorant of Allah Almighty’s command performs Hajj Tamattu’. So Sa’d, may Allah be pleased with him, said: O nephew! You have spoken incorrectly. Dahhak said: Indeed, Umar bin al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, forbade it. So Sa’d, may Allah be pleased with him, said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, permitted it, and we performed Hajj Tamattu’ with him.

Hadith Number: 295
89- وبه: انها قالت: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عام حجة الوداع فمنا من اهل بعمرة، ومنا من اهل بحج وعمرة، ومنا من اهل بالحج، فاهل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالحج. فاما من اهل بعمرة فحل، واما من اهل بالحج او جمع الحج والعمرة فلم يحلوا حتى كان يوم النحر.
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the year of the Farewell Hajj (from Madinah Tayyibah). Among us, some were reciting the Talbiyah for 'Umrah, some for both Hajj and 'Umrah, and some for (only) Hajj. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the Talbiyah for Hajj. Whoever recited the Talbiyah for (only) 'Umrah, he became halal (i.e., came out of the state of Ihram after performing 'Umrah), and whoever recited the Talbiyah for Hajj or for both Hajj and 'Umrah, he remained in the state of Ihram until the day of sacrifice (and opened the Ihram after the sacrifice).

Hadith Number: 296
222- وبه: عن حفصة زوج النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم انها قالت لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ما شان الناس حلوا بعمرة ولم تحلل انت من عمرتك؟ قال: ”إني لبدت راسي وقلدت هديي، فلا احل حتى انحر.“
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that one of the wives of the Prophet (Sayyidah Hafsah, may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): What is the reason that people have ended their ihram after performing ‘Umrah, but you have not yet ended your ihram after your ‘Umrah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied:“I have stuck my hair (with gum) and have designated the sacrificial animals, therefore I will not end my ihram until I have performed the sacrifice.”
