And with the same chain of narration (from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him), it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "None of you should walk in a single shoe; rather, he should wear both on his feet or leave both feet bare."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah al-Sulami (al-Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade a person from eating with his left hand or walking in a single shoe. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also forbade wrapping oneself completely in a garment (ishtimal as-samma’) or sitting in a way with a single cloth that exposes the private parts.
