Chapter: What has been reported concerning the clothing of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Buttons of His Shirt
Hadith Number: 59
حدثنا ابو عمار الحسين بن حريث قال: حدثنا ابو نعيم قال: حدثنا زهير، عن عروة بن عبد الله بن قشير، عن معاوية بن قرة، عن ابيه قال: اتيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في رهط من مزينة لنبايعه، وإن قميصه لمطلق، او قال: زر قميصه مطلق، قال: فادخلت يدي في جيب قميصه فمسست الخاتم
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father Qurrah bin Iyas that he said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) with a group from the tribe of Muzaynah for allegiance. (I saw that) the blessed shirt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was open, or he said that the button of the shirt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was open, so I put my hand into the collar of the shirt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I touched the Seal of Prophethood.
