بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي مِشْيَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the walking of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Prophet’s graceful walk
Hadith Number: 122
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال: حدثنا ابن لهيعة، عن ابي يونس، عن ابي هريرة قال: «ولا رايت شيئا احسن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان الشمس تجري في وجهه، وما رايت احدا اسرع في مشيته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كانما الارض تطوى له إنا لنجهد انفسنا وإنه لغير مكترث»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I have not seen anything more beautiful than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it was as if the sun was floating upon his blessed face. And I have not seen anyone faster in walking than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), it was as if the earth was folded up for him. We would exert ourselves fully to walk with him, while he (peace and blessings be upon him) would not show any effort in his pace.
