Umm Sulaym’s expression of love
Hadith Number: 213
حدثنا عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن قال: حدثنا ابو عاصم، عن ابن جريج، عن عبد الكريم، عن البراء بن زيد ابن ابنة انس بن مالك، عن انس بن مالك: «ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل على ام سليم وقربة معلقة فشرب من فم القربة وهو قائم، فقامت ام سليم إلى راس القربة فقطعتها»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her), and there was a waterskin hanging there. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank water from the mouth of the waterskin while standing. Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) got up and cut off the mouth of the waterskin (and kept it with her).
