Shamail al-Tirmidhi
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي تَعَطُّرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the perfume of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Do not refuse perfume
Hadith Number: 216
حدثنا محمد بن بشار قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي قال: حدثنا عزرة بن ثابت، عن ثمامة بن عبد الله قال: كان انس بن مالك، لا يرد الطيب، وقال انس: «إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان لا يرد الطيب»
It is narrated from Thumamah bin Abdullah, the grandson of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), that he said: Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) would not return a gift of perfume and used to say that (this is because) the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also not return a gift of perfume.
