Chapter: What has been reported concerning the poetry of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
The Prophet’s favorite poem
Hadith Number: 241
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who says that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Of all the poetry spoken by poets, the truest statement is the saying of Labid: «ألا كل شيء ما خلا الله باطل» , Beware! Everything except Allah Almighty is false (perishable)." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "And it was near that Umayyah bin Abi Salt would have become Muslim."
