Shamail al-Tirmidhi
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Fasting on Monday and Thursday
Hadith Number: 304
حدثنا ابو حفص عمرو بن علي قال: حدثنا عبد الله بن داود، عن ثور بن يزيد، عن خالد بن معدان، عن ربيعة الجرشي، عن عائشة، قالت [ص: 251]: «كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يتحرى صوم الاثنين والخميس»
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to fast on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday in one month, and in the next month he used to fast on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
