Chapter: What has been reported concerning the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Moderation is necessary in deeds
Hadith Number: 310
It is narrated from Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me and there was a woman with me. He (peace be upon him) asked:“Who is this?”I replied:“This is such-and-such woman, who does not sleep at night (rather, she stands in prayer).”The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:“Adopt only those deeds which you are able to do. By Allah! Allah does not tire (of giving reward), but you will tire (of performing deeds).”Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The most beloved deed to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was that which a person performed consistently.
