بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قِرَاءَةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Chapter: What has been reported concerning the recitation of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)
Reciting the Quran with a pleasant voice
Hadith Number: 318
حدثنا محمود بن غيلان قال: حدثنا ابو داود قال: حدثنا شعبة، عن معاوية بن قرة قال: سمعت عبد الله بن مغفل يقول:" رايت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم على ناقته يوم الفتح وهو يقرا: {إنا فتحنا لك فتحا مبينا ليغفر لك الله ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تاخر} [الفتح: 2]". قال: «فقرا ورجع» قال: وقال معاوية بن قرة: «لولا ان يجتمع الناس علي لاخذت لكم في ذلك الصوت» او قال: «اللحن»
Muawiyah bin Qurrah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mughaffal (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting this while sitting on his mount on the day of the conquest of Makkah: «إنا فتحنا لك فتحا مبينا ٭ ليغفر لك الله ما تقدم من ذنبك وما تأخر» . The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was reciting these verses repeatedly. Muawiyah bin Qurrah says: If I were not afraid that people would gather around me, I would recite to you in the same manner, with recitation, proper pronunciation, and beautification.
