Attributing lies to the Prophet is a grave crime
Numbering by, Al-Albani: 1618, Fiqh-based: ,329
-" إن الذي يكذب علي يبنى له بيت في النار".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever lies about me (i.e., attributes a false statement to me), a house in the Fire will be built for him."

-" إياكم وكثرة الحديث عني، من قال علي فلا يقولن إلا حقا او صدقا، فمن قال علي ما لم اقل فليتبوا مقعده من النار".
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say: "Refrain from narrating too many ahadith from me. Whoever attributes something to me should speak the truth and what is right, because whoever attributes to me something which I did not say, then let him prepare his abode in the Hellfire."
