Book of Adhan and Prayer
Ruling on sitting and praying behind a sitting Imam
Numbering by, Al-Albani: 1363, Fiqh-based: ,540
-" إذا صلى الإمام جالسا فصلوا جلوسا".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Imam leads the prayer sitting, then all of you should also perform the prayer sitting."
