Book of Medicine and Visiting the Sick
What prayer should a visitor say for the sick?
Numbering by, Al-Albani: 1304, Fiqh-based: ,1583
-" إذا جاء الرجل يعود مريضا فليقل: اللهم اشف عبدك ينكا لك عدوا او يمشي لك إلى صلاة، وفي رواية: إلى جنازة".
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person comes to visit a sick person, he should supplicate in these words: O Allah, grant Your servant healing, so that he may confront Your enemy or go to prayer for Your pleasure (in one narration: so that he may go to the funeral prayer)."
