Book of Etiquette and Seeking Permission
Evil end of unjustly seizing a Muslim’s wealth

-" من اكل برجل مسلم اكلة، فإن الله يطعمه مثلها من جهنم ومن اكتسى برجل مسلم ثوبا، فإن الله يكسوه مثله في جهنم ومن قام برجل مسلم مقام سمعة، فإن الله يقوم به مقام سمعة يوم القيامة".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mustawrid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever unjustly eats a morsel belonging to a Muslim, Allah Almighty will feed him from the food of Hell in proportion to it. Whoever unjustly wears a garment belonging to a Muslim, Allah Almighty will clothe him with a garment from Hell in proportion to it. And whoever preserves the honor of his Muslim brother, Allah Almighty will preserve his honor on the Day of Resurrection."
