The Wretched of the First and Last Generations

-" اشقى الاولين عاقر الناقة واشقى الآخرين الذي يطعنك يا علي. واشار إلى حيث يطعن".
Abdullah bin Anas reports in mursal form that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the people of old, the most wretched was the one who hamstrung the she-camel (the miracle of Sayyiduna Salih), and O Ali! Among the later ones, the most wretched will be the one who strikes you with a spear." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also pointed towards the place of the spear.
