Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that it was written about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Gospel: He was neither ill-tempered nor hard-hearted, nor did he raise his voice in the markets, nor did he repay evil with evil, rather he forgave and overlooked.

Abu Sahar Aqili says: A Bedouin narrated to me: I brought some trade goods to Madinah during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ). After finishing my business, I said: I will definitely go to this man (i.e., Muhammad صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) and listen to what he has to say. When I met the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) were also with him. He sent them back, and we went to a Jew who was reading the Torah, comforting himself with it, because his extremely handsome and beautiful young son was struggling between life and death. The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said to him: "I adjure you by the One Who sent down the Torah! Do you find mention of my attributes and my place of appearance in your Book?" He shook his head to indicate "No." But his son said: Yes, by the One Who sent down the Torah! We do find mention of your attributes and your place of appearance in our Book, and I now bear witness that Allah alone is the true deity and you are the Messenger of Allah. (Upon hearing this) the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) said: "Remove this Jew from his brother." He meant the son of the Jew, who had accepted Islam. Then the Prophet ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) arranged for his shroud, applied perfume to him, and offered his funeral prayer.
