Allah’s statement: Allah took Abraham as a friend.
Narrated from Sayyida Umm Sharik (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered the killing of the lizard. This hadith has been mentioned earlier, but here there is an additional detail: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "It used to blow on the fire against Ibrahim (peace be upon him), (while the other animals were trying to extinguish it)."

Narrated Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Which mosque was built first on the earth?" He (peace be upon him) replied, "Al-Masjid al-Haram." Then I asked, "Which one next?" He (peace be upon him) replied, "Al-Masjid al-Aqsa (Bayt al-Maqdis)." I asked again, "What was the period between the two?" He (peace be upon him) replied, "Forty years." (This period was probably mentioned with reference to the first construction, i.e., during the time of Adam, peace be upon him, because there is more than a thousand years between Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and Prophet Sulaiman, peace be upon him.) Then he (peace be upon him) said, "Wherever you are when the time for prayer comes, pray there. Indeed, there is great virtue in performing the prayer at its time."

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to seek Allah’s protection for Sayyiduna Hasan and Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) and would say:“Indeed, your grandfather Ibrahim used to seek Allah’s protection for (his sons) Isma’il and Ishaq (peace be upon them) with these words: ‘I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from every devil and every poisonous, destructive creature, and from every envious eye.’”
