Book of Marriage
Accepting Walima and all invitations is obligatory; Walima can be held for seven days.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When any of you is invited to a wedding feast, he must surely go."
