كِتَاب أَحَادِيثِ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ
The Book of The Stories of The Prophets
بَابُ: {وَإِذْ قَالَ مُوسَى لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةً} الآيَةَ:
Chapter. "And (remember) when Musa (Moses) said to his people: ’Verily, Allah commands you that you slaughter a cow...’ " (V.2:67) (Explanation of some Arabic word not translated).
Hadith Number: Q3407
قال ابو العالية: العوان النصف بين البكر والهرمة فاقع سورة البقرة آية 69 صاف لا ذلول سورة البقرة آية 71 لم يذلها العمل تثير الارض سورة البقرة آية 71 ليست بذلول تثير الارض ولا تعمل في الحرث مسلمة سورة البقرة آية 71 من العيوب لا شية سورة البقرة آية 71 بياض صفراء سورة البقرة آية 69 إن شئت سوداء ويقال صفراء كقوله جمالت صفر سورة المرسلات آية 33 فاداراتم سورة البقرة آية 72 اختلفتم.
Abu Al-Aliyah said that (in the Noble Qur’an the word) «العوان» means between youth and old age. «فاقع» means clear. «لا ذلول» means one whom work has not exhausted or made weak. «تثير الأرض» means it is not so weak that it cannot plough the earth nor be useful for farming work. «مسلمة» means sound and free from defects. «لا شية» means (not) branded. «صفراء» — if you wish, its meaning can be black or yellow, as in «جمالة صفر» . «فادارأتم» means «فاختلفتم» you differed. (For further information, it is necessary to study those places in the Qur’an where these words occur.)
