`Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says that we set out from Madinah to Makkah with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he continued to perform two rak‘ahs (for each prayer) until he returned. I asked, "How many days did you stay in Makkah?" He said, "Ten days." In another narration, it is mentioned that we set out from Madinah to (Makkah) for Hajj.
