Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) would not enter the house of any woman except his wives or Umm Sulaym (who was the mother of Sayyiduna Anas and the wife of Sayyiduna Abu Talhah, may Allah be pleased with them). The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to visit Umm Sulaym. People asked about the reason for this, so the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "I have great compassion for her; her brother was killed while fighting alongside me."

Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: I entered Paradise, and there I heard the sound of footsteps. So I asked, "Who is it?" The people said, "Ghumaisa bint Milhan (the name of Umm Sulaym was Ghumaisa or Rumaisa), the mother of Anas bin Malik."
