Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When Allah created the creatures, He wrote in His Book, and that Book is with Him, that My mercy prevails over My wrath.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: Allah has one hundred mercies. He sent down one mercy among the jinn, humans, animals, and insects; because of this one mercy, they show kindness and mercy to one another, and because of it, even a wild animal loves its young. And Allah has kept ninety-nine mercies with Himself, which He will bestow upon His servants on the Day of Resurrection.
