Wudu is not necessary for eating food
Hadith Number: 120
اخبرنا سفیان، عن عمرو، عن سعید بن الحویرث انه سمع ابن عباس یقول: کنا عند رسول اللٰه صلی اللٰه علیه وسلم فخرج من الغائط واتی بطعام، فقیل له: الا توضأ؟ فقال: لم؟ اصلی فاتوضأ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he came out from the toilet. Then food was presented to him and it was said: Will you not perform ablution? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why? If I am going to pray, I will perform ablution."

اخبرنا النصر، نا حماد بن سلمة، عن عمرو، بهذا الاسناد مثله.
