كِتَابُ الْكَرَمِ وَ يَتِيمٌ
Book of Generosity and the Orphan
بَابُ فَضْلِ الْمَرْأَةِ إِذَا تَصَبَّرَتْ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا وَلَمْ تَتَزَوَّجْ
Chapter: Virtue of a Woman Who is Patient with Her Child and Does Not Remarry
Hadith Number: 141
حدثنا ابو عاصم، عن نهاس بن قهم، عن شداد ابي عمار، عن عوف بن مالك، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”انا وامراة سفعاء الخدين، امراة آمت من زوجها فصبرت على ولدها، كهاتين في الجنة.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I and the woman with blackish-reddish cheeks who became a widow, and she patiently raised her child and did not remarry, will be together like this in Paradise."
