Kathir bin Ubaid (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I waited and said: Umm al-Mu'mineen! If I go outside and tell people that you are mending an old garment, they will count it as your miserliness. She said: Speak with understanding; the fact is that whoever does not wear old clothes has no right to new clothes.
