كِتَابُ الْعُطَاسَ والتثاؤب
Book of Sneezing and Yawning
بَابُ كَيْفَ يَبْدَأُ الْعَاطِسُ
Chapter: How the sneezer should begin
Hadith Number: 933
حدثنا إسماعيل، عن مالك، عن نافع، عن عبد الله بن عمر، انه كان إذا عطس فقيل له: يرحمك الله، فقال: يرحمنا الله وإياكم، ويغفر لنا ولكم.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when he sneezed and «يرحمك الله» was said to him, he would say: May Allah have mercy on us and on you, and may He forgive us and you as well.

Hadith Number: 934
حدثنا ابو نعيم، قال: حدثنا سفيان، عن عطاء، عن ابي عبد الرحمن، عن عبد الله قال: إذا عطس احدكم فليقل: الحمد لله رب العالمين، وليقل من يرد: يرحمك الله، وليقل هو: يغفر الله لي ولكم.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: When any one of you sneezes, he should say «الحمد للہ رب العالمین» , and the one who responds should say «يرحمك الله» , then the one who sneezed should say: «يغفر الله لي ولكم» May Allah forgive me and you as well.

قال الشيخ الألباني: صحيح الإسناد موقوفًا
Hadith Number: 935
حدثنا عاصم بن علي، قال: حدثنا عكرمة، قال: حدثنا إياس بن سلمة، عن ابيه قال: عطس رجل عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ”يرحمك الله“، ثم عطس اخرى، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: ”هذا مزكوم.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Salamah bin Akwa’ (may Allah be pleased with him), he said that a man sneezed in the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: «يرحمك الله» . When he sneezed again, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "He has a cold."
