Book of Asking Permission
بَابُ يَسْتَأْذِنُ عَلَى أَبِيهِ وَوَلَدِهِ
Chapter: Asking permission to enter father and son's room
Hadith Number: 1062
حدثنا إسماعيل بن ابان، قال: حدثنا علي بن مسهر، عن اشعث، عن ابي الزبير، عن جابر قال: يستاذن الرجل على ولده، وامه، وإن كانت عجوزا، واخيه، واخته، وابيه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: A person should seek permission before entering upon his children and his mother, even if the mother is elderly. Similarly, one should seek permission from one's siblings and father as well.
