It is narrated from Abu Abdul Malik, the freed slave of Umm Miskeen (may Allah have mercy on her), that my mistress sent me to bring Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). So he came with me and stood at the door and asked: May I come in? She said: You may come in. Then she asked the question: O Abu Hurairah! Guests come to me after ‘Isha, so can I talk with them? Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Keep talking until you have performed Witr; when you have performed Witr, then do not converse after Witr.
