باب صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى:
Chapter: Night and day prayer is two by two
Hadith Number: 1497
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن ابي شيبة، حدثنا وكيع، وغندر، عن شعبة، عن يعلى بن عطاء، عن علي الازدي، عن ابن عمر، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "صلاة الليل والنهار مثنى مثنى". وقال احدهما: ركعتين ركعتين.
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The prayers of the day and night are in sets of two rak‘ahs." Some narrators said: "Two by two rak‘ahs."
