Chapter: Listening to the sermon and being silent on Friday
Hadith Number: 1586
It is narrated from Aws (bin Aws Thaqafi, may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever bathes and causes someone else to bathe on Friday, then goes out early (for Friday prayer), sits near the Imam, listens to the sermon silently, does not engage in idle actions until the Imam finishes, for every step he takes, he will have the reward of a year's fasting and standing (in worship)."
