باب الْقُعُودِ بَيْنَ الْخُطْبَتَيْنِ:
Chapter: Sitting between the two sermons
Hadith Number: 1597
حدثنا مسدد، حدثنا بشر بن المفضل، حدثنا عبيد الله، عن نافع، عن ابن عمر، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم"كان يخطب خطبتين وهو قائم، وكان يفصل بينهما بجلوس".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver two sermons while standing, and he would sit between the two sermons.

Hadith Number: 1598
اخبرنا محمد بن سعيد، حدثنا ابو الاحوص، عن سماك، عن جابر بن سمرة، قال:"كانت للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم خطبتان يجلس بينهما يقرا القرآن ويذكر الناس".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to always deliver two sermons and would sit between them, and during the sermon he would recite the Qur'an and advise the people.
