Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Sham, and Qarn for the people of Najd. The narrator said: Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I myself heard the mention of these three miqats from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and I was informed that he fixed Yalamlam as the miqat for the people of Yemen.

With this chain also, a narration similar to the previous one is reported from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) specified Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the (place of) ihram for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Syria, Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. The residents of these places should enter into ihram from these locations, as should those who pass through these routes and intend to perform Hajj or Umrah. However, those whose residence is between the miqat and Makkah should enter into ihram from the place where they begin their journey, until the people of Makkah themselves should enter into ihram from Makkah.
