Chapter: All of Arafah Is a Place of Standing
Hadith Number: 1917
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that after performing the stoning (Rami), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sat down to answer the people's questions. A companion came to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I shaved my head before slaughtering the camel." He replied: "There is no harm." Another companion came and said: "O Messenger of Allah! I performed the Tawaf (Ifadah) before throwing the pebbles." He replied: "There is no harm." Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Whatever was asked about, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "There is no harm." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The whole plain of Arafat is a place of standing, the whole of Muzdalifah is a place of staying, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice, and all the roads of Makkah are paths and places for sacrifice."
