It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you eats or drinks, let him eat and drink with his right hand, for indeed Satan eats and drinks with his left hand."

A hadith with the same meaning as mentioned above is also narrated from this chain from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both).

Iyas bin Abi Salamah said: My father narrated a hadith to me and said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw Busar bin Ra’i al-‘Ir eating with his left hand. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“Eat with your right hand.”He replied:“I cannot.”The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:“May you never be able to (if you are lying),”and the narrator said: After that, his right hand could never reach his mouth.
