Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: On the day of the Battle of Ahzab (Trench), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was carrying earth with us, and because of the dust, the whiteness of his armpits was concealed, and he was humming these verses:

(Meaning:O Allah! If it were not for Your guidance, we would never have found the right path, nor could we have given charity, nor performed prayer. So now, O Allah, grant tranquility to our hearts, and when we meet the enemy, make us steadfast.

The enemies have transgressed against us; whenever they try to put us into trial, we refuse.) The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was reciting these verses aloud.
