Chapter on destructive sins
Hadith Number: 2803
Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Qirt (may Allah be pleased with him) said:“Indeed, you commit such acts which, in your eyes, are finer than a hair (i.e., you consider them insignificant and do not regard them as major sins), but during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to consider them extremely destructive.”
When this was mentioned to Muhammad bin Sirin, he said:“‘Ubada has spoken the truth, and I think that letting the lower garment hang down is among those destructive sins.”
