Qasim bin Abdur Rahman said: If an apostate (one who leaves Islam) was killed, Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) considered his family to be his heirs.

Abu Amr Shaibani said: Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, assigned the inheritance of an apostate to his Muslim heirs.

It is narrated from Hakam that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) decided to distribute the inheritance of an apostate among his Muslim heirs.
