Statement about being ignorant and from the people of Hell
Hadith Number: 71
حدثنا احمد بن مجاهد الاصبهاني، حدثنا عبد الله بن عمر بن ابان ، حدثنا زافر بن سليمان ، حدثنا عبد الله بن الحسين المصيصي، حدثنا محمد بن كثير ، عن الاوزاعي ، عن يحيى بن ابي كثير ، قال:"من قال: إني عالم فهو جاهل، ومن قال: إني جاهل فهو جاهل، ومن قال: إني في الجنة فهو في النار، ومن قال: إني في النار فهو في النار"
Yahya bin Abi Kathir, may Allah have mercy on him, says: Whoever says, "I am a scholar," then he is ignorant; and whoever says, "I am ignorant," he is also ignorant; and whoever says, "I will enter Paradise," then he will enter Hell; and whoever says, "I will enter Hell," then he will also enter Hell.
