The chapter on the limbs of prostration
Hadith Number: 188
حدثنا احمد بن الحسن بن مكرم البغدادي ، حدثنا علي بن الجعد ، حدثنا ابو جعفر الرازي ، عن عمرو بن دينار ، عن طاوس ، عن ابن عباس ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:"امرت ان اسجد على سبعة اعظم، ونهيت ان اكف شعرا او ثوبا"، لم يروه عن عيسى بن ماهان ابي جعفر، إلا علي بن الجعد
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones, and I have been forbidden to gather up the hair or the garment during prayer."
