The chapter on the virtue of the last third of the night
Hadith Number: 224
حدثنا الحسن بن عليل العنزي ، حدثنا علي بن الحسن الازدي الكوفي ، حدثنا الاشجعي ، عن سفيان الثوري ، عن خالد الحذاء ، عن ابي قلابة ، عن ابن عمر ، قال: سئل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:"اي الليل اجوب دعوة؟، قال: جوف الليل"، لم يروه عن سفيان، إلا الاشجعي
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) reports: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, "Which part of the night is most effective for the acceptance of supplication?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "The middle part of the night."
