Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) says: Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me that when the call to prayer for the morning (Fajr) prayer was given, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would perform two units (rak‘ahs) of prayer before the obligatory morning prayer, and he would keep them light.
