Book of Zakat
Description of the threshold (nisab) for Zakat on agricultural produce
Hadith Number: 418
حدثنا منصور الفقيه المصري ، حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان ، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب ، اخبرني يونس بن يزيد عن ابن شهاب ، عن سالم بن عبد الله بن عمر ، عن ابيه ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، قال:"فيما سقت السماء العشر، وفيما سقي بالنضح نصف العشر"، لم يروه عن الزهري، إلا يونس وعمرو بن الحارث
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On land irrigated by rainwater, one-tenth (ushr) is due, and on land irrigated by waterwheels, half of one-tenth (half-ushr) is due."
