Prohibition of combining aunt and niece in marriage
Hadith Number: 487
حدثنا عبد الله بن عمر ، حدثنا يحيى بن غيلان ، حدثنا بزيع ، عن سليم مولى الشعبي ، عن الشعبي ، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم:"لا تزوج المراة على خالتها، ولا الخالة على ابنة اختها، ولا تزوج المراة على عمتها، ولا العمة على ابنة اخيها، ولا الصغرى على الكبرى، ولا الكبرى على الصغرى"، لم يروه عن سليم، إلا ابن بزيع
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman should not be married together with her maternal aunt nor with her paternal aunt, nor should the younger be married together with the elder, nor the elder with the younger."
