Condition of not marrying another after separation by husband or wife
Hadith Number: 498
حدثنا يحيى بن عثمان ، حدثنا نعيم بن حماد ، حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي سفيان ، عن جابر ، عن ام مبشر الانصارية ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم،"خطب ام مبشر بنت البراء بن معرور، فقالت: إني شرطت لزوجي ان لا اتزوج بعده، فقال النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم: إن هذا لا يصلح"، لم يروه عن الاعمش، إلا ابن إدريس، تفرد به نعيم
Sayyida Umm Mubashir Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) proposed to her, so she said: I have made a promise to my husband that after him I will not marry anyone. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is not correct."
