Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah Bajali رضي الله عنه reports: Whenever the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم would send out a military expedition, he would say: "In the name of Allah, with Allah's help, in the way of Allah, and upon the religion of the Messenger of Allah. Go in the name of Allah, with His assistance, in His path, and upon the religion of His Messenger. Do not be treacherous, do not deceive, do not mutilate, and do not kill children."
