Explanation of Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) composing poetry to satirize the polytheists
Hadith Number: 595
حدثنا محمد بن عبيد بن آدم بن ابي إياس العسقلاني ، حدثنا ابو عمير بن النحاس الرملي ، حدثنا ايوب بن سويد ، عن السري بن يحيى ، عن ابي إسحاق ، عن البراء بن عازب ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال لحسان بن ثابت:"اهج المشركين، فإن الله عز وجل يؤيدك بروح القدس"، لم يروه عن السري، إلا ايوب، تفرد به ابو عمير عيسى بن محمد
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): "Satirize the polytheists, Allah Almighty will help you through Jibreel (Gabriel), the Trustworthy."
