Hadith Number: 906
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I served the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for ten years. I do not know that he ever agreed or disagreed with anything, because he always sought the pleasure of Allah. Even though some of his wives would say: "If only you had done it this way," and they would also say: "Why did you do it like this?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: "Leave it, for only what Allah wills happens." And I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) take revenge for his own sake, except when one of Allah’s sanctities was violated, then he would become extremely angry. And whenever two matters were presented before him, he would choose the easier of the two, provided there was no displeasure of Allah in it. If there was Allah’s displeasure, then he would keep far away from it, more than anyone else.
